SteelSeries Arctis headset and Aerox mouse battery on Windows
See the battery of your SteelSeries Arctis, Arctis Nova or GameBuds headset and Aerox, Prime or Rival mouse in the Windows taskbar, without SteelSeries GG.
32 models listed: 9 mice, 23 headsets
Arctis headsets: the precision depends on the model
Each SteelSeries headset reports its battery in its own way, and BatteryOnPC shows exactly what it receives:
- A real percentage: Arctis 1, Arctis 7, Arctis 9, Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2, Nova 5 and 5X, Nova 3P and 3X Wireless, Arctis Nova Elite.
- Five levels, so steps of 25 %: Arctis Pro Wireless, Arctis 7+, 7P+ and 7X+, and the first generation of the Arctis Nova 7.
- Nine levels, so steps of 12.5 %: Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, read through its base station.
The Arctis GameBuds have two earbuds and two batteries. The icon follows the lower of the two, counting only the earbuds out of their case, so the alert comes before either one runs out.
Aerox, Prime and Rival mice
The Aerox 3, 5 and 9 Wireless and the Prime Wireless report their level in steps of 5 %. The Rival 3 Wireless, the Rival 650 Wireless and the Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 report a percentage. The protocol is the one documented by rivalcfg.

Questions about SteelSeries devices
- Does it work without SteelSeries GG?
- Yes. The level is read from the headset's or the mouse's dongle directly, whether GG is installed or not.
- Why does my Arctis 7+ jump by 25 %?
- That headset only reports five battery levels. BatteryOnPC shows the matching step rather than inventing a finer percentage.
- Which earbud does the GameBuds icon follow?
- The one with the lowest battery among the earbuds out of the case, so you are warned before either one runs out.
