Tracking a mouse, keyboard or headset (beta)
Beyond controllers, BatteryOnPC can follow your other wireless devices. What this feature does today, and what it does not.

Controllers are fully supported and detected automatically. Other wireless devices (mouse, keyboard, headset) go through a separate feature, added manually, and still in beta. This guide is honest about where the line sits.
Adding a device
Use "Add a device (beta)" and pick the peripheral from the list. Once added, it gets its own icon in the taskbar, next to your controller, with the same colour code and the same notifications.
One icon per device rather than a shared one is a deliberate choice: with a controller and a headset side by side, you can tell at a glance which of the two is about to die, without opening anything.
What determines whether it works
Everything depends on how the device publishes its level, and that is decided by its manufacturer, not by us.
- Bluetooth devices that implement the standard battery service are the most reliable case.
- Devices on a proprietary USB dongle depend on the brand's protocol. Logitech is the best covered today.
- Some devices publish nothing readable at all, and no software can invent a level.
Two devices, one headset
A gaming headset often appears twice in Windows, along the lines of "Game" and "Chat". That is normal: the headset exposes two audio streams so you can balance game sound against voice.
In the device list you may therefore see your headset twice, with only one of the two carrying a battery level. Add that one.
Your device is not in the list
Check first that it is actually connected and active: a device on standby publishes nothing. Then check its connection type: a peripheral on a proprietary dongle is not Bluetooth, and behaves differently.
If it still does not appear, tell us the exact model. Compatibility grows with each update, and a device that is missing today may be covered in a future version, automatically, since updates install themselves.
What this changes day to day
The point is not to have more icons. It is to stop having four programs from four brands running permanently just to know four battery levels. One place, one colour code, one set of alerts.
