What is not supported

  • Four mice whose battery ATK HUB itself hides: the VXE V3 NK and V3 Pro NK in some versions, the F1 Extreme 2.0 and the F1 Leviatan 2.0.
  • N9 headsets: their battery goes through a serial port that the app does not use.

Add an ATK, VXE or VGN device

  1. 1

    Plug in the receiver

Connect the receiver and check that the mouse or keyboard works.

  2. 2

    Scan for devices

In the BatteryOnPC window, open the Devices tab and click Scan for devices.

  3. 3

    Add it

Click Add. The device gets its own icon in the taskbar and its own alert threshold.

Mice of the A9 family

Most ATK and VXE mice (A9, X1, F1, U2, Z1, Y9, Dragonfly, R1, R2, MAD R and their variants) share the firmware of the ATK A9, whose protocol the Linux kernel documents too. Like ATK HUB, BatteryOnPC first asks the receiver whether the mouse is online, then reads the real percentage and whether it is charging.

When the mouse sleeps, the receiver says so: BatteryOnPC shows it in grey, as off, rather than at 0 %. No false alert while you are away from your desk. This has been checked on a real ATK A9: asleep, charging on its cable, then unplugged.

Other mice and the keyboards

A few mice, such as the ATK A9 Pro or the VXE V3 Plus, and the ATK, VXE and VGN keyboards use other protocols that ATK HUB knows. BatteryOnPC sends them the same read requests, byte for byte.

Questions about ATK & VXE devices

Why does my ATK or VXE mouse turn grey?
It has gone to sleep. The receiver reports it as offline instead of sending a level, and the level comes back as soon as you move the mouse.
Do I need ATK HUB open?
No. BatteryOnPC reads the receiver on its own. Keep ATK HUB for your settings if you use them.
My model is not in the list. Will it work?
The list names the models confirmed so far. Write to us with the exact model and the receiver it uses, and we will answer before you buy.
