A sleeping mouse is not an empty mouse

To save power, these mice fall asleep after a few minutes. Asleep, they answer with a level of 0 without charging. BatteryOnPC recognises that state: the icon turns grey, as for a device that is off, instead of raising a false low battery alert. The level comes back as soon as you move the mouse.

The OMNI receiver

Mice used on ASUS's OMNI receiver, the one that can pair several devices, are not covered yet.

Add an ASUS mouse

  1. 1

    Connect it

Plug in the mouse's receiver or its cable and check that it works.

  2. 2

    Scan for devices

In the BatteryOnPC window, open the Devices tab and click Scan for devices.

  3. 3

    Add it

Click Add. The mouse gets its own icon in the taskbar and its own alert threshold.

Questions about ASUS devices

Does it need Armoury Crate?
No. BatteryOnPC sends the battery request to the receiver itself, as G-Helper does.
Why does my mouse turn grey after a few minutes?
It has gone to sleep to save its battery. The icon shows the level again as soon as you move the mouse.
Does it work with the OMNI receiver?
Not yet. Mice used on ASUS's OMNI receiver are not covered today.
