Terms of Use

Article 1: Acceptance

Using the BatteryOnPC site and software implies full and complete acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Article 2: License of use

Upon purchase, the Seller grants you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the BatteryOnPC software, for private use. Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, it is prohibited to:

• resell, rent, lend or redistribute the software or your license;
• publicly share the download link;
• decompile, disassemble or reverse-engineer, except where permitted by law (in particular for interoperability);
• remove or alter proprietary notices.

Article 3: Intellectual property

The software, the site and their content remain the exclusive property of the Seller. The license entails no transfer of intellectual property.

Article 4: Proper use

You agree to use BatteryOnPC in accordance with its intended purpose and applicable regulations, without harming the operation of the service or the rights of third parties.

Article 5: Availability & updates

The Seller may update the software (fixes, improvements). The site may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance. These events do not give rise to any compensation.

Article 6: Limitation of liability

BatteryOnPC is provided “as is”. The battery levels shown are estimates that depend on the hardware and its protocols. To the extent permitted by law, the Seller is not liable for indirect damages resulting from use of the software. Statutory guarantees still apply (see Terms of Sale).

The software only reads the battery level of devices (strictly passively for controllers, via standard read commands for other peripherals): it does not change their settings, does not update their firmware and is not designed to damage them. To the extent permitted by law and without prejudice to statutory guarantees, the Seller cannot be held liable for any hardware or software damage to the Customer's devices resulting from use of the software.

Article 7: Personal data

Data processing is described in the privacy policy.

Article 8: Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by French law.
